Before we can go out to our stretch we have to watch the DoT video and sign their waiver. We'll have the BBQ going for a Pot Luck style picnic so bring your foodie goodies.

New Office Space

Office Opens Wednesday Sept. 16th as soon as the data cables are live and the phones work.

Financing – Renting out event space. Cafe. Patients will have opportunity to buy vaporizers, grow equipment, books, etc.

Event Space – Classes, meetings, parties, etc.

Cafe – Rehab to commercial grade and obtain license from county Health Department, weekend breakfast, offer evening space to Wormhole, in the hall we hope to have an indoor tomato an lettuce grow, to be used in the cafe. Grow equipment normally used for growing medical marijuana will be growing the produce food for the cafe.

Liability Risk – No marijuana transactions of any kind including medical marijuana, medicated foods, donations in kind, etc. This is a great liability concern for our members, and specifically our board members.

Patient Only Area – We hope to open a small, patient-only retail area, which will sell books, vaporizers, lighting, etc. In accordance with RCW 69.51A, we will provide a private area for patients to medicate using smokeless techniques (ingestion, tincture, vaporization, etc). A second small room within the patient-only area will offer a space for licensed massage practitioners to provide medicated topical massage treatments to medical marijuana patients. (These topicals must be brought in by the patient.)

House Warming Kick off Party: Sometime very soon, this place is built for lots of gatherings/concerts/parties/socials/communion etc.

Out Reach to Community: Our concept is not foreign to South Park since DeMaris and The Wormhole have done so well until recent landlord disputes. We can offer her help and extend our services along side of hers to the neighborhood and community at large. We do need to get to know our neighborhood better. We have plans to say Hello to the local Community Resource center, local attorneys, local businesses and library. Ben wants to do a USPS mailing to all neighborhood residents.

Committees

We discussed the need for committees, which would allow people to get more involved in certain work without taking on the full responsibilities of board membership. Committees will report and/or make recommendations to the board. Committee membership is open to members only, though invited guests are welcome at meetings. Initially, we created four committees:

  • Membership – Ben
  • Technology - Ben (it's getting lonely here)
  • Outreach – Richard, Jesse, Joan, Ben, Pam
  • CRC – Pam, Joan, Jesse, Richard

Misc

Additional items discussed:

  • Bus Routes to the CDC’s Cannabis Resource Center are the 60, 131, 132, 134
  • The October Session will be held in our new office space Monday October 5th at 7:30pm
