Medical marijuana trial week - March 9-12, 2009

Stop Arresting Medical Marijuana Patients

Starting Monday, March 9, Kitsap County prosecutors begin their trial to imprison medical marijuana patient Bruce Olson. All concerned Washington citizens are invited to bear witness to this circus of horrors.

Currently, the trial calendar looks like this:

------------------------------------------

* MON, MARCH 9 -- Prosecutors will attempt to forbid testimony from wife Pam Olson, who was convicted last year by the very same prosecutors for the very same medical marijuana grow. Now, conveniently, prosecutors argue that Pam had nothing to do with the medical marijuana -- though they already convicted her for it!

* TUE, MARCH 10 -- Jury selection and opening statements.

* WED, MARCH 11 -- Prosecution begins.

* THU, MARCH 12 -- Prosecution continues (flushing taxpayer dollars down the toilet).

* MON, MARCH 16 -- Defense scheduled to begin.

* TUE, MARCH 17 -- Defense scheduled to continue.

------------------------------------------

The Cannabis Defense Coalition has lodging for 10+ people at a bed and breakfast near the courthouse in downtown Port Orchard, Washington. If you would like to stay any nights in Port Orchard, please email info@cdc.coop or call 888-208-5332 and press 0 to reach a CDC volunteer.

You are welcome to stay as many nights at the B&B as you like. If you need a ride, we have people driving to and from Port Orchard every day. We can secure rides for folks near I-5 anywhere from Seattle to Olympia. If you are interested in attending, but lack gas money, transportation, and/or lodging, please contact us. We will work very hard to get activist legal observers to this miscarriage of justice.
